ALERRT Level I Training - This dynamic course of instruction is designed to prepare the first responder to isolate, distract, and neutralize an active shooter. This course will cover shooting and moving, threshold evaluation, concepts and principles of team movement, setting up for and room entry techniques, approach and breaching the crisis site, secondary responder tactics, improvised explosive devices, and post-engagement priorities of work. This course will culminate with dynamic force-on-force scenarios.
This course is for Law Enforcement Officers Only!
There is no charge to officers or agencies for the Level I two-day (16-hour) course. This training is funded by the U.S. DHS Homeland Security Grant Program and is supported by the South Central Task Force.
Class Size: 18 students max
This course will be held at the HACC York Campus, Goodling Building.
